About
Micah Millheim is an Idahoan bassist and composer. He is active in many musical styles, both academic and popular. Millheim hopes to bridge the worlds of Western art music and the independent folk music of the American Northwest.
Millheim will soon receive a BA in Music Performance from the University of Idaho, after which he hopes to pursue a Master’s degree in music at the same institution.
Millheim often records and performs around Moscow, Idaho, in a diverse range of ensembles, from unaccompanied solo performances to big bands, including:

In a recent article in the Argonaut, Lyndsie Kiebert wrote:
Millheim finds music undoubtedly his greatest passion. He is able to play several instruments, including piano, electric bass and double bass. He said the complexity of music is what draws him to be a performer, especially learning about the ways people interpret music.
“You can view (music) culturally, you can view it analytically, you can view it emotionally, you can view it spiritually, there are so many ways.” [Millheim says]
